B - Slice of rye with marmite and peanut butter

S - Cherry-chocolate fudgey brownie (words cannot describe how good these are!)

L - Tofu, wholewheat noodles and stirfried onion, green pepper, broccoli and bok choi

S - Red grapes, dried fruit Graze box

D - Spicy lentil and carrot soup, slice of toast with houmous, another brownie :)

That awkward moment when your partner walks into the kitchen to find you huddled in the corner with an open container of nooch and a spoon and your mouth encrusted with little flakes...

Some very low calorie diets here shocked.gif

Yesterday's intake:

B = Wholemeal toast with marmite

L = Peanut butter sandwich and a nectarine

D = Veggie mince 'shepherds pie' topped with sweet potato plus petit pois, corn and carrots

Snacks = breadsticks, veggie dippers and homemade hummus

Now THAT'S being carb loaded!  Lol

Just an update on these cute vegan strawberry pots. They were dead easy and so nice! I added a bit more sweetener than Sophie the blogger did, but then I quite like puds to be somewhat sweet.. The silken tofu disappears amidst the strawberries. And the flax seeds add a nice thick texture that I could *just* stand my spoon up in (in a good way!)

That is absolutely my kind of ideal meal. Gimme those wholegrains, pulses & spices, citrus, herbs & salad. Yums to Julie!

Lots of watermelon.
Columbian coffee (organic, fair-trade) with stevia.
Vitamin water throughout the day.

Match italian ground sausage served meatloaf style with onions, garlic and green peppers sautéed in extra virgin olive oil with fennel seed, parsley stems and bay added in, topped with carmelized tomato paste with basil and garlic and sprinkled with fresh parsley. Accompanied by rosemary, Thyme and sage roasted jicama with extra virgin olive, bay leaf, black and white pepper & sea salt.

Celestial seasonings cherry berry iced tea with stevia.

Later I'll have some Tazo rest tea and I'll probably be eating leftovers for breakfast in the morning.

I haven't had Macaroni & cheese (I hate having to spell it weird because it's non-dairy!) in months I so want some. Between this thread and the food porn thread I am tempted to go the 20 miles to the nearest health food store just to have it! logic however is a buzz kill and I'll just have to continue to fiend until Friday when I go shopping. -sigh- I actually prefer vegan Mac to the "real" (which isn't typically so real...thing)

B: Toast with cherry jam and coffee with almond milk

L: Bananas and dates

S: Organic ginger snaps

D: Black bean chili with sweet potato, maple syrup and chipotle peppers. Also tortilla chips.

S: I discovered dried mango slices today, they are incredible! Just like fruit snacks and probably just as bad for you considering they are sugar coated but at least the first ingredient is mangos.

Aren't they? My son likes them and it was because of him that I was buying them. Then I got addicted. I skipped buying them this week because last week I ate the whole package by myself.

Have you got any health food stores around you? I usually get dried mango from there, in the bulk bin section. It doesn't have sugar. It's not the same as candied (sugar coated) mango, it's more like mango jerky, dryer and tougher but absolutely delicious! You can also get sugarless dried mango with the same texture as candied, it's just harder to find. It's not available locally for me, papaya is all I can find unsweetened here. That's okay, though. I have grown to love mango and pineapple "jerky". It's easier to moderate too. I have an issue with leaving the dried fruit alone if I have it. It's my candy.

Oh cool, I do have a bunch of health food stores around me so I'll keep my eyes open for that sugarless dried mango, it sounds good! And agreed this stuff is like candy. lick.gif
