Why is the suffering and killing of animals wrong? Because the value of a sentient organism's life is priceless. They are their own beings and have their own lives and loves. They have higher emotions and thought processes. Their minds are different from ours in degree, not kind - meaning that fundamentally there are critical similarities.

Today I made - stuffed green peppers with walnut & rice filling, baked in red sauce.
Served with steamed green beans.
Dessert - first attempt at vegan Baklava made from scratch! Came out so good! I'm super proud! Spent about 2.5 hours on it but it was worth it! Wish I could post a pic here but don't see the option.

B. The chocolate pancake recipe Naturebound has been posting on here with blueberry and maple syrup topping. (:
Banana
L. Yikes. Pretty much skipped, don't think I ate enough. Instant coffee with soy milk and sugar. (Don't judge, it's my thing.)
D. Roasted potatoes and collard greens. (Would you believe this is the first time (in memory) that I've tried these?) Sauteed in garlic, olive oil and salt. Not bad at all.
Banana
Some pecans

And lots of water. Probably not enough but I've been drinking tons more for awhile now finally.

I don't think I ate enough, but this is the first time I haven't quite felt too embarrassed to post it here.
I went from raised on Southern food/processed anything (almost the SAD diet) to not being able to eat because of OCD to eating but it being vegan junk/unhealthy stuff and now finally the last few months I've been able to cook basic things a whooooole lot more. It's amazing to look in my pantry and fridge/freezer now. What is bad to some is such a change for me. P.S. I miss the version of this thread where you guys posted delicious looking pictures.
Also been able to use Cronometer a little as I've seen suggested around here and getting more exercise! Yay progress, after years of struggle.
