No it was soft similar to quorn mince, but I had it cooking with my stir fry so maybe the veggie juices softened it as well...

B: 1c coconut milk
L: skip, at the doctor for a long time
D: non vegetarian calorie dense crap from Garden that I felt compelled to get with a gift card, plus my husband said not to get any vegan/vegetarian because we were splitting and he wanted dairy/ meat products. So I had 1 bread stick, 1 bowl of salad, calamari and marinara sauce, and steak alfredo, then I went to food comatose

Yesterday:

B: purple smoothie (purple kale, blackberries, banana, oatmeal, soaked almonds, hemp milk)

L: Chipotle with sofritas (yay for promotions!)

D: Amy's southwestern soup and some avocado

S: grapefruit

Today:

B: green smoothie (avocado, spinach, banana, oats, hemp seeds, orange juice)

L: sandwich on low sodium Ezekiel bread with hummus, avocado, Sun dried tomatoes, red Anaheim peppers, and a kale/romaine mix massaged with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I can not express how awesome this sandwich was. Oh, and also an apple.

D: I had an upset tummy, so I made a grapefruit slushie (grapefruit, ice) and juiced a crap ton of greens with lemon and ginger.

S: hazelnut coffee and a vegan brownie

Is it just me, or does avocado make smoothies seriously bland?

I don't have Ezekiel bread, but I have Genesis. I'm going to try this. This sounds yummy.

Breakfast:
Smoothie - 1 banana, 1 orange, 2 cups spinach, protein powder, chia seeds, flax seeds
Toast - 2 slices Genesis bead, 1 tbsp cashew butter
Vitamins - iron, b12, multi

Snack:
Apple cinnamon tea w/ 1 tsp coconut sugar

Lunch:
WW pasta w/ tofu and veggies

Snack:
hot chocolate - 1tbsp cocoa, 1/2 cup almond milk, hot water, 1 tsp coconut sugar
1 carrot cake muffin.

Dinner:
None

I don't know why I felt super full after breakfast today. I usually like my breakfast's to be 800+ calories, and I didn't even reach 600. I think it might be the extra fat. I think I might add more fat into my diet. I feel more satisfied with it. On days I don't have toast, I'm going to add nut butter to smoothies or oatmeals.

Also, this has been the best smoothie I've had all month. I have a lot of success with oranges and limes in smoothies.

Been back to being 100% vegan for 3 weeks now and I feel wonderful (no more migraine headaches!)

Today's meals:
Morning: Oatmeal with soy milk, dried apricots and slivered almonds
Snack: Smoothie with fruit, soy milk, orange juice, and flaxseeds
Lunch: Not sure yet - either BBQ baked beans and brown rice or whole wheat spaghetti with marinara sauce; side salad
Dinner: Pita pizza (tomato paste, spices, veggie toppings on a whole wheat pita, no vegan cheese); side salad with homemade Greek Goddess dressing; dark chocolate for dessert.

Why is the suffering and killing of animals wrong? Because the value of a sentient organism's life is priceless. They are their own beings and have their own lives and loves. They have higher emotions and thought processes. Their minds are different from ours in degree, not kind - meaning that fundamentally there are critical similarities.
