This has been such a disgustingly unhealthy day but I really needed it.

 

Breakfast: Spelt toast with gooseberry jam, coffee.

 

Snack: Pear.

 

Lunch: Leftover rice and peas with veggies from yesterday.

 

Snack nr 2: Apple.

 

Then I had a friend over for pizza and Blade Runner.

 

Dinner: Four (!!!) slices of takeout pizza. Usual order, grilled eggplant and semi dried tomatoes, whole wheat, no cheese, add garlic, add arugula.

 

Dessert: Vanilla soy ice cream with shaved dark chocolate.

L.  Sandwich of Tofutti 'cheese' slices and raw red onion plus a packet of salt and vinegar crisps

B - Beans on toast with nooch

Post-run - Lots of chocolate coconut milk and an energy ball

L - Beef-style pieces with stir fried veggies (spring onion, yellow pepper, kale), cashew nuts and taro noodles with soy sauce and home made plum sauce

D - Salad (spring onion, tomato, carrot, cucumber and sunflower seeds) in maple-mustard dressing, crackers with cauliflower houmous and tortilla chips with soy cheese and jalapeno pieces

B - Pancakes with cherries, blackberries, chopped almonds, soy yoghurt and agave syrup

S - Crackers with soy cheese and damson chutney; tortillas with houmous

D - Sweet and sour tempeh with onion, spring onion, carrot and red pepper on plain rice; apple with peanut butter

S - 2 brown rice avocado sushi with ginger and soy sauce

L - falafel wrap with radish, tahini and lettuce, apple, carrot and ginger juice

D - going out to dinner for a friend's birthday, will probably have a salad of some sort

L: Chickpea pancakes (stuffed with bell peppers and ren onions) with cashew cream and gherkin

D: Soyburger on whole wheat bread, sallad and cabbage

S - Half a peanut butter rye sandwich

L - The other half of the sarnie, a banana, Graze box of salt and vinegar nuts

S - Tortillas with reduced fat houmous

D - Slice of wholemeal toast with baked beans and garlicky mushrooms; Alpro dark chocolate pot

Breakfast: Glass of chocolate rice milk

Lunch: Artichoke ribbons with asparagus and mushrooms (sautéed), and falafel chickpea balls.

Snack: Banana

Snack 2 (while waiting for dinner): cocao goji power snack

Dinner: Grilled cheese and ham sandwich (both vegan), and tomato rice.

Snack: Crackers with black olive hummus, and a glass of chocolate almond milk.

Not the best day. Tomorrow is payday so we can get produce. I have a bunch of kids and if I don't write a menu, I just grab bites of whatever all day and drink coffee or tea.

L: Sweet potato and chickpea burger (without the bread) with peanut sauce and a lot of broccoli and cauliflower

L - Salt&pepper tofu with red onion, broccoli and beansprouts in hoisin sauce with noodles, sliced avocado, a few roasted peanuts and lots of fresh coriander. Vitamins at last!

D - Veg sausages, mash and peas, all smothered in jalapeno-corn gravy

S - Popcorn

B: smoothie with 6 bananas and approx. 20 sayer dates

L: salad of 5 roma tomatoes, half a large cucumber, half a red onion, chopped cilantro drizzled with lemon juice and cayenne pepper, 2 cups of sweet potato-carrot puree soup, and 2.5 cups of rice with a bit of wheat-free soy sauce

 

Not sure what dinner will be yet, as sometimes on friday nights we order in some chinese food or something like. Trying to be healthy and sticking to the LFHC lifestyle, so we'll see.
