Just wondering - do you buy strictly vegan presents for your loved ones, or non-vegan because you know what people would love and they happen to be non-vegan foods or clothes made with wool etc?

I bought myself a few toiletries today, avoiding anything with beeswax or honey and checking every label. Then I got some tasty treats for bf's dad that happened to be vegan and looked yummy enough that even an omni would enjoy them without questioning the ingredients. But I bought my friend her favourite hot chocolate mix because I know its something she adores. Now I'm half regretting it. Hmm.

That awkward moment when your partner walks into the kitchen to find you huddled in the corner with an open container of nooch and a spoon and your mouth encrusted with little flakes...

I always stick to vegan presents even for non-vegans because I don't want to support unethical treatment of animals with my purchases. It might also make the recipient think about veganism whereas giving an animal product as a present (or one that includes animal products) is kind of condoning the use of animal products.

I never buy non vegan stuff cuz it's against my ideals, no matter what.

If they can be made happy with non vegan stuff, i will make them supra happy with vegan stuff.

This year i'm mainly offering books, including a few veggie ones like peter singer animal liberation.

If Christmas becomes an excuse for cruelty, there is something wrong.

If people around me cannot have a beautiful and happy christmas with cruelty free stuff, there is something wrong.

I only buy vegan gifts except in the case of cash or gift cards, which may be used for nonvegans things.
