"We have enslaved the rest of the animal creation, and have treated our distant cousins in fur and feathers so badly that beyond doubt, if they were able to formulate a religion, they would depict the Devil in human form." - William Ralphe Inge
I HATE seeing those trucks on the highway.
I saw one yesterday with horses in it. I used to be OK with it.....the horses are going to a different horse ranch, or whatever. But I've recently read that over 100,000 horses are sold to Canadian and Mexican slaughter houses every year. Are you serious? How low has society sunk to allow this? But non meat eaters are still seen as the real freaks.....right? ![]() |
I've been seeing a lot of this on Facebook lately. It's weird how so many people don't make the connection.

I think it is partly due to looks.
Dogs are natural predators, and their eyes are more forward facing than are pigs' eyes, and therefore they look more like humans. Predators, like cats and dogs need forward facing eyes to look at their prey, and to be able to have stereoscopic vision to be able to judge distance. Owls, bears; even jumping spiders look sort of cute. |
