This was a fun read, thought I'd share. I definitely fall into categories 1 and 3...

I'm mainly a 1 with a side of 3.

1, 2, with a little bit of 7, 8, 10. I agree with the general "vote with your dollar" principle of 6, but I don't read VegNews.

I always wonder about people who say they "love" animals, but continue to eat meat. If that's your idea of love, I question what sort of twisted world view you must have.

1 for me but I am so jealous of the talent of the 8s. I can't stand Bob Barker though.

I started as a definite 13, then probably became a 4. Nowadays I am politically a 9 and nutrition wise a 10.

A good giggle especially the video for # 18 - get off the frigging fence boy!

I belong to a lesser known underground tribe not mentioned in the article. We don't like to talk much about ourselves for fear that our lifestyle may end up featured on mainstream day-time TV in the US, after which our integrity will be lost forever when the masses flock to join us proclaiming, "I drink three red bulls at once and have given up fish on Sundays - I am a ******delic vegan!"

Mostly 1 and 2, but if I didn't have to move all the way across the country, I'd definitely want to be a Portland, Oregon vegan.

Glad to see folks admitting to being at least a little Foodie. A funny thing happened when I started to eat as dictated by my ethics - I discovered food. I like to think (plus there is evidence that suggests) that it can work both ways. Someone who tries eating a vegan diet because it's tasty/fun/healthy might wake up one day and realize the rationalizations they used to justify NOT eating vegan just don't seem quite as convincing as they did the day before.

Like most folks here I belong to multiple tribes. I don't ignore my membership in the others, but the foodie bit plays better in much of the outside world. (Better than animal loving feminist DIY straightedge guy anyway )

Funny list.

All of you who are responding with numbers, do you realize that the numbers change? It says in the intro that they're ranked in order of how many people "Like" them, so the rankings change as more people read the list and click the "tribes" that describe themselves.

It's funny.

Sadly, i don't really fall into any of those. Perhaps the current no. 1 (thx Fromper) would be the closest to me. the one knocking other vegs comes close as well.

Well I am probably a foodie because I just like food a lot. I find that becoming veg*n has helped me in that respect as being an omni held me back from getting enthusiastic about cooking, I have always hated touching raw meat. Now that that is not a problem anymore I can truly get into and enjoy cooking.... : )

Me too! Food is so much more fun for me now than it has ever been in the past. So many new delicious meals to discover, no more guilt, and I can eat as much as I want and it doesn't affect my weight

I really liked the tribe descriptions. Very truthful, thanks for sharing

I'm somewhere between 1,2,3,4,8, and 11.
