....wow. It looks like it hurts! This makes me feel even more sorry for the hens who have to do this multiple times a day.

Ouch and yuck, if I didn't already dislike eggs, I think that would put me off eggs for a while.

I can't abandon the person I used to be, so I carry her.

That's nothing. Ever birthed a calf before? I've had my arms elbow deep in slimy, bloody cow vag before. Growing up on a farm was an interesting experience.

Yuck. Yuckyuckyuck. Not because it's an egg being laid, that's how birds come into the world, but because I used to eat that and because chickens have to do it every day or more often. Bleugh.

Josh James xVx, life is a messy, icky business, especially the beginning and end

Matter and energy cannot be created or destroyed, silly.

Although I have an amusing idea for this body I inhabit. When my mind and personality no longer exist, I intend to donate my usable organs to medicine but have the vultures pick my bones clean according to the traditions of the ancient Magi.

Uhh the picture it's frozen on (before pressing play) is enough to convince me NOT to watch
I saw a donkey give birth at a petting zoo once (which is really depressing now that I think about it...how stressful for the poor mother!) and that was...an experience!

I was present just after the birth of 2 pregnant goats this year, and they were both easy births, one mother took a couple of days to recover and the other was fine straight away. I think it depends on the animal and how the birth pans out.

Some women have fast easy births and some other women have 48 hour nightmares, and many things in between I guess. I do remember the aftermath of these goat births being wonderful, miraculous experiences, with both mother goats loving their kids, but I guess I wouldnt have felt the same if the births didnt go well.

There are no reasons to not go vegan, only excuses.

It never occured to me to search for this. It never will again... D:

I don't know that I find all birthing procedures disgusting like fadeaway1289, but certainly that one's thrown me due to the contrast with how it happens in cartoons!
