Hi, I am not worried about the health side of things more the ethical side of soya - i am planning on avoiding it 'mainly' (it prob has a small place)

BUT - i have heard bad things about the western soya boom and the small farmer and deforestation which destroys thousands and thousands of species in the rain forrest...

I am a RUNNER and i have up till now been using Whey Protien Isolate, although i know it's a bit disgusting - i'm planning on finishing what i have - but do i buy more or opt for a soy / vegan alternative????????

Help me out here?? or can you think of another way of getting 35g of protien for 230 kcal or whatever???

There is a type that I see at my grocery store that is 100% vegan, and it's called Vegetarian Protein Supplement or something like that. It's in a white container and has a green lid if it helps. It's only partly soy based, and it has rice, pea, bean proteins, as well as the soy. You could also load up on beans, seitan or tempeh, all pretty high protein for the calories.

In a thread, I said it tasted like ass. Just ignore that.

I avoid soy, and this is what I use. 12g of protein/58 calories. I use the chocolate version and blend it (in a blender) with chocolate almond milk. The taste isn't great, but its not bad either, though I can't speak for the vanilla flavor.

Yeah you can get hemp or brown rice protein powder that are vegan. The hemp one would be the best!
