hey all, i'm certain this has been discussed before and so i apologize for the repeat. Winter is upon us and I am in dire need of a good pair of winter boots. I've spent the majority of my winters trudging around in soaked canvas sneakers with frostbitten toes and have finally decided it's time for a change. I really like LL Bean boots as there good for outdoors but not too bulky, however i will not be purchasing a pair of leather boots anytime soon, or ever. So, any suggestions?

Target has some good vegan boots. I don't think I've ever seen them with real leather or suede boots. Just check the label

Oh really? I didn't realize that, thanks

I always get shoes/boots at Payless, they always have tons of vegan stuff! They also tend to have vegan bags too incase anyone needs one.

Rocketdog do some vegan boots. I just had mine delivered...the make is called 'Chomps' and they are chunky but not bulky (I have very skinny legs and small feet so boots often look ridiculous!)

I really like the website VeganChic. I'm not sure if they have what you're looking for, but I've ordered from them several times and each time been satisfied.

Just a note: many items sold at target and payless were probably made by people in unfavorable conditions. Something we should all consider when shopping cruelty-free.

True, it is unfortunatley sometimes a trade off. Not sure where the OP is based, but Bourgeois Boheme is a Uk company who sell vegetarian shoes with an ethical policy as well. They sell from other brands as well that may be overseas, though not sure if the ethical policy applies to these brands.

Or ebay, and buy 2nd hand boots? I own so many pairs of second hand shoes and its so cheap and its recycling as well. Double bonus.
