A lot of you may have seen this already, but I did a search and I don't think it's on VB yet...

So, here ya go:

www.mcvideogame.com

It's a cute little flash game, meant to show the evils of the fast food giants...

You make choices to increase productivity and profit...like bribe the Major of San Jose so you can use the people's cropland to grow soy for your cows, mow down rainforest for your cows, start giving them horomones, kill the sick ones (if you don't, people will get sick, and you'll have to bribe a health official).

It's an addictive little game!!!!

Best played with some sort of alcohol in your hand.

Give thanks to Mother Earth for Her greatest gift...

...gravity.

For without it, we would be lost.

Yeah...and you can't 'win' the game. The 'goal' is to try and maintain a self-sustaining balance...(but then, your corporate guys will notice you're not expanding, and be upset...but they can bite me...little b*st*rds).

I actually started playing this as an omni...and it REALLY made me want a burger!!! I'd actually go get a burger, and come back and keep playing. BUT, these things set in, and ultimately made the stuff less enjoyable.

In fact, I guess you could say it contributed to my going veg... I struggled trying to lsoe weight, and in an effort to avoid fast food, I researched the 'behind the scenes' stuff like in the game...and what I learned sent me away from meat forever!

I love it, I can get quite far on it now, can't remember the year I got up to last but I ran out of fields and rainforest. I love the option to corrupt different people so that the public thinks mcdonalds is good, and how you can add animal powder and hormones to the food/soy.

I always only get to a certain point because eventually all the cow pasture becomes useless. So after that you lose I guess.

Don't crowd your cows.

Bribe the major so you can put cows or soy on his people's cropland, and mow over the rainforest and village of natives.

The farthest I've gotten is a perfect balance...where I can actually leave it running and watch tv... But, then the corporate guys raise #$%^ because you're not increasing your profit...but any changes you make would cause your balance to collapse.

I played for about 10 minutes until I found out that it just keeps going, and going. Plus, I was starting to feel evil.
