I am happy that my son has found a great dojo; his former one was becoming more trophy flash than substance, per son (adult). He is doing an Okinawan karate, I do not know the Japanese words.
Happy it is a sunny day, and about the huge crow standing behind my car cawing at me this morning. Truly huge!

Going to Florida for the first time in January for the Supernatural convention. I got a copper weekend pass and a few photo ops
I went to their Chicago con recently and it was so awesome, that I cancelled a trip to Denver that was supposed to happen in a few weeks and got this instead. Plus I already been there 3 times.

There is FINALLY a vegan meetup group in my city!!!! I just joined a few days ago. They have only had one get together so far but we already have 13 members. Yippeee!!!

I'm happy that we had the floors redone, went out to the coast for a few days, was at the coast during a windstorm, and are now getting slowly but surely back to normal for Thanksgiving.
Anytime I think I'm perfect, I remember that my cousin lives on an island, and I've never walked over to visit her.

Yesterday while out grocery shopping, I overheard a guy asking a store clerk where some gluten free item was. He complained that it was hard to make gluten free food and he had to do it for a Thanksgiving meal. I couldn't help it. I chimed in as I passed "Try doing an all gluten free AND vegan Thanksgiving!" He looked at me incredulously and said now THAT would be hard! I said it's not that hard, you just have to be open minded and imaginative. We had a good talk about veganizing a gluten free pie.
Also, I took yesterday off work and spent the morning with my sister who I don't get to see much. We worked out together at her fitness center which is across town from mine. She introduced me to an employee there who said her husband was going vegan due to heart disease and needing to cut down on cholesterol etc. So I talked to her about my experience as a vegan, and I told her about our local meetup group, and I offered her my email so I could share some recipes and answer questions for them. She seemed really excited to do this! Yeah!
