I was looking at some vegan cheese at the grocery store, and saw a woman grab a jar of vegenaise. It made me smile inside.

Today I'm happy I had a snow day from a job I'm liking less and less. I'm happy I spent quality time with my loved ones outdoors. I'm happy I have a new little niece or nephew coming in October. And I'm happy my green juicing experiment worked out well.

I'm also happy I found this thread!

15 of the 22 books I had on hold at the library came in today.

Wow how much did it cost you to keep them on hold? Here it's 60 p so 9 pounds for 15 books, you can buy 1 or 2 brand new books with that money and keep them forever

What are you reading?

You mean it's not FREE??!! It's free here in the state of Washington.
Right now it's Thrive by Brendan Brasier and Vegan a Go Go by Sarah Kramer.

Don't you have to pay to reserve a book where you are? I thought it would be the same across the uk....? Public libraries are part of the council service, right? So same rule would apply to all....?

Today I'm happy my boyfriend is enjoying his new job. I'm also happy I had the guts to apply for an awesome job I'm only mostly qualified for. If nothing else, it's something to hope for!

Wow! I've worked in libraries for seven years, and the only time I've seen a charge for borrowing books (aside from late fees and replacement costs) is the occasional fee for an inter-library loan since some libraries require the patron to cover shipping costs.

Today I'm happy I work in a library that offers so many great services for free (holding books included!)

Are you in London, England or London, Ontario? Either way...We just go through the computer, and if the library system has a book at another library, we just put it on hold until it comes to the library we want. For free.

I hope it's not King County or Seattle Public Library systems you work for...

Today I'm happy, not that the baking element in my oven burned out last night, but that the local appliance store had a replacement part in stock, so I was able to fix it right away, and don't have to wait for a new part to be shipped in. I use the oven a lot.

I live an hour and half away from London, Ontario. I've never been to London, England, but I'm willing to bet it's much more interesting than London, Ontario.

I totally forgot that yesterday, February 27, was my four year vegan anniversary!!! Here is to another great vegan year! I LOVE being vegan!

ps I have a confession to make. I didn't know how to use the smilies until a few weeks ago.
