Hi everyone thanks for the support and great advice! I wanted to update you on my talk with my dh.

We had a very good, very civil conversation about veganism. We were at a restaurant, and I told him that in my process of reading about veg*nism and researching while trying to decide if I wanted to become one, I found info that disturbed me. And that for me, it wasn't an issue of just my health anymore. He was supportive! Although, like I expected, he said not to expect him to change his mind, the forever-omni he is. And he did look at me funny when I told him that he could have my coat (I have a leather coat that I bought last year that was my favorite because it has the logo of my favorite show, Highlander, on it, not wearing it anymore) and asked if that meant I wasn't wearing leather shoes anymore either (I'm not when I have to replace the ones I have now) but in general, he was VERY supportive of me. I also got a vegan multivitamin at my local Natural Foods store to cover the health issues. I think he's still up in the air about protiens, but what non-veg*n isn't, but he isn't as concerned anymore.

All in all it was a good conversation and I came out very pleased.

So thanks again guys!

That's great! I love it when omni SOs are nice about veganism! (mine can be a little rude at times)

Glad to hear it went well.

I just have one question. I keep seeing the abbreviation DH in people's posts. What is that?

One of these is the correct answer:

1. dormant homunculus

2. dear husband

3. daffodil hackeye

4. dolting horrendously

"and I stand

upon a mountain

made of weak and useless men"

Ok, that makes sense. I kind of figured from the context that it must have something to do with daffodils.
