Ok, I'm reviving a really old thread here. But, I have a question.
There is talk on the internet that Mama brand Artificial Chicken Flavor ramen is vegetarian: http://www.efooddepot.com/products/mama/24630/mama_oriental_style_instant_noodles_(artificial_chicken_flavor)__hypen__1_dot_94oz.html#product
They look vegetarian based on what Silva said, but if you're super strict, you have to decide if it's a good risk. Some things are labeled veggie accidentally.
Hmmm, they seem to be. Really high in fat compared to Top Ramen.
These, on the same site are vegetarian certified:
and I know some Shin Ramyun has some flavors that are vegan. I can only think picante-which is very spicy!
I'll stick to my Top Ramen oriental! Know what gets my mad about that? The grocery that carries it packages the chicken and beef as 6 packs and often go on sale for $1.00 for the six. The oriental is never packed that way, so it's always .50 cents a pack. They used to give me the discount but won't anymore!
I swear there's a conspirency to keep people omnivores!
That sucks! My stores usually have the sale for all flavors.
Ugh, ramen! I used to really like this stuff, and then my wife decided that oriental ramen was amazing and wouldn't stop buying and making it. We are not poor college students, and now I can't stand the stuff.
I used to add dehydrated vegetables to it when I was vegan, though, and that really made it a lot more appetizing. I haven't tried that in years, maybe I will.
