Anyone here into photography?

It's become such a passion for me. I've turned my camera bag into my purse so I always have my camera with me.

I'm what you'd call a beginner/amateur photographer but I've had lots of great feedback on a lot of photos that I've taken.

Just curious if anyone on the board is into photography, as well.

I love photography. Do you use film or digital?

I'm looking forward to getting back into it once the weather warms up a bit.

I just wish there were more interesting things to take pictures of around here. But then I tell myself if I were really any good I would find something!

I enjoy photography. I'm pretty much digital only, though. I've ruined way too many rolls of film.

I love photography! I have a digital camera that I bring with me most always except for when I go to work.

You can see several of my pictures in the picture gallery:

I love taking pictures of buildings/houses and my latest genre is jumping pictures. I'm part of a jumping pictures community on LJ:

Seconded. In the (nearly) one year I've been on VB, I have always enjoyed Mikie's pictures.

I bought my first digital camera over a year ago. I've taken so many pictures. I'd actually love to be able to share them with everyone on here. But it says I only have 2.00MB of space on the photo album thing. Being new I have no idea if that's all the space I'll ever get or if it'll grow with my posting more here.

I do have some photos on: http://traptured.deviantart.com but that's only a small fraction of everything I've taken so far.

I'm trying to save up for a new(er) Canon digital camera. *crosses fingers*

There are some sites that will let you store a large number of images for free. I think http://www.shutterfly.com is one of them.

I have a Canon S410 (4 megapixel), I really like it. Recently bought a 1 GB storage card for it.

Right now I just have a Nikon coolpix 885 that I got for Christmas over a year ago.

I'm either going to be getting the new Canon Digital Rebel XT or the Canon 20D. I'm having a hard time making up my mind.

I have a Canon S400. It's nice and I like the pocketability (it's nice since I'm a cyclist.)

If I get another camera, I'll probably get a digital SLR.

I sort of casually am -- not quite ready to dive into the arena of $LR's, or more accurately, changeable-lens cameras. I just got a Canon G6 and was pleased that 4G CF cards are fairly affordable.

*cough* hey michael - how about starting up the photography club again? I am really getting into photography & am glad to see others here too

I have a digital but want to fix up my dad's old 35mm Nikon that I swiped when he died. It needs a better lens & the film rewinder arm is broken off (sorry, dont' know the name for it) but overall it's a good camera.

The camera i use now is this one: http://www.dpreview.com/news/0310/03...nicdmcfz10.asp

I love it.

ETA: Nice work with the Petronas. It's hard taking good pictures of extremely tall things like that.

Agreed! the spiderweb one is cool. At first I thought it was something someone made with string - nature is a beautiful thing.

Amy, those pictures are really fantastic. How long have you been into photography? I"m curious about that camera you're using. I'll have to do some reading up on it. I'm still kind of shopping around for a really good one.

Here are a few more pictures from me:

jenna rose, I like those!! I especially looooooooooove the kitty one the way the lighting conrasts with the patterns is very cool.

photography? I've been snapping pictures all my life, but I just started really gaining a serious interest in it (with composure etc) a few months ago. I really need to read more about it. anyone have some good ideas for resources for non-novice beginners? Something a little more basic than Aperture magazine, but not as beginner-ish as, say, MSN digital photography tips.
