A little tiny crab at low tide. He's hunkered under a small anemone, all closed up and covered in pebbles, and there are a couple of little black turban snails too:

This is a Grand Canyon Black Tarantula I found in our driveway in Colorado in the US.

When people post, perhaps they can put where the pic was taken.

I don't think I've ever seen a hummingbird sitting still...they're always 'hovering' over a flower or feeder!

I don't know what this guy is called, but he was really cool. He would kind of stand up and run with just his back legs. This is in Mexico.

Oh thank you. I was just lucky. I was there to photograph the flowers and the butterflies just showed up.

Here is a ground squirrel, also from Yosemite, getting an almond from my trail mix. I know, I know, you're not supposed to feed them. But they jump in my lap and nibble on my fingers if I don't!

Here are some of the animals we see at Gemini Springs Park in Central Florida:

Blue Heron

Baby bald eagles

I have some more of alligators but not on Photobucket. Will work on that so I can post them too. I love that Blue Heron!

They do have a job; entertaining tourists on their home turf and showing us humans how to relax...
