Comments: Very excellent article. Sounds great to live in a place of the type the author describes.

That's really neat. Personally, I'm still waiting for a giant sum of cash to roll in so I can build a brick house in the country with solar panels, windmills and a water recycling system.

I saw this article in a paper at work. I was pretty impressed. We need more housing like this. I could not share the bathroom though at the old age of 48. I need my own toilet and sink. I could share the shower though.

In my younger years I was a Kibbutz volunteer. We lived in glorified shacks but there was always a friend to chat with. We had plenty to eat and didn't want for anything really. Except maybe home. When I returned to the U.S. I was lonely and isolated.

I would certainly consider to live in a situation like this, with my own 1/2 bath though!

My goal too is to live without a car ASAP. When I retire for sure but I would like to sooner.
