I am looking for a recipe for a burger that gets crispy, and not mushy. I have been using black beans and a range of things but it don't come out right. I also process it together, is this wrong?

When you said crispy burger, the first thing I thought of were the boca chickn patties, not burgers haha. They aren't really crispy but they kind of are in a way o.O. Gardein chickn strips are more crispy.

As for burgers....if you cook a veggie burger long enough, it will get crispy.

This recipe is so good. I double it because it is a little fussier than most with chopping and stuff. Very crispy! grin.gif

Yes! I often use potato water in my breads. That is a great idea for paninis, yum.

So glad I stumbled upon this thread. I have never had luck making my own veggie burger. Always had the mushy issue. These recipes sound great, LB! smiley.gif

I'm always looking for new veggie burger recipes, and always have some pasta sauce handy in case the "burgers" turn into sloppy joes. ;-)

I made vegan fried chicken and it tasted so delicious ! Really crispy and tasty! I'm sure you could get a veggie burger and dip it in flour and fry it lol! Check out YouTube "the sweetest vegan" account.

I just made the most delicious Philly cheesesteak crunchy lunch! I took a morning star spicy black bean patty. Cooked in a pan until almost burnt on each side then cut it into chunks then sautéed onions and peppers all together then melted Go Veggie pepper jack sliced cheese on top and put into a wholewheatbun !! So good
