Mama Burger- DELICIOUS veggie burger
Hands down one of my favorite veggie burger recipes EVER. Even nonvegetarians love these, theyre all gone within a day when I make them at home! Super healthy and delicious. Choose the baking option for a healthier alternative. Leave out the cheese for vegans if you please.
Preparation time: 20 mins - Cooking time: 20 mins - Makes 8-10 burgers
1 tbsp olive oil (if using frying pan)
2 scallions, chopped
1 tsp. garlic, chopped
1/2 whole vidalia or other sweet onion
3 cups drained garbanzo beans
1/4 cup tanini
1 carrot, chopped
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
1/4 cup feta cheese
1/2 tsp. salt
pepper to taste
fresh rosemary to taste
1 1/2 cups bread crumbs
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees or prepare a frying pan with a small amount of vegetable oil.
2. Put all ingredients except bread crumbs into a food processor. Pulse until well combined. Put ingredients into a large bowl, add bread crumbs, mix well. Form into patties.
3. If baking, place on cookie sheet and bake for 20 minutes. If frying, cook until lightly browned on each side and warm in the middle.
Note: These can be put in a freezer or refridgerator for later use. They will keep in the freezer for two months, and in the refridgerator for one week.
