International foods

Since a few weeks I've been interested in foods from all over the world. There's awesome food from countries like Pakistan or theres Persian food thats awesome but we never get the chance to get to know it and try it our for ourselves.

Please feel free to share traditional foods from your own country with me !

I have lots of international recipes on Pinterest - I have boards for Mediterranean, Indian, Chinese, Thai etc.

I can't share a link here because I'm classed as a newbie (it's a long story but I've been on here years and years!) but you can find me if you go to pinterest, and search for user kanzi, and then look for Incredible Zen.

I'll try and share the link on your personal profile page, it might work there!

I love foods from all over the world as you can tell

Yes, Middle Eastern food is fantastic! I'm a big fan of falafel and taboulleh.

My ancestry is equal parts German, Portuguese, English, and Italian. Traditional Portuguese cooking includes hearty soups made with lentils, potatoes, and kale - very easy to make vegan.

Here's a lentil and kale soup from a blog called "Portuguese Girl Cooks": http://www.portuguesegirlcooks.com/2...d-lentil-soup/

Thanks for this - I'm not that familiar with Portuguese food - I think of it as mainly fish-based, so not as easy to substitute/veganise as a chicken or beef based meal. The soup looks lovely though, I'll add that to my pinterest board for later testing!
