This tastes so much better than it sounds! The original recipe is made with agave nectar instead of honey and therefore is vegan (though the calorie count on the recipe is for if you make it with honey because that's what I had in my kitchen at the time) but I was surprised at just how GOOD this is! It's from The Great Vegan Bean book and I made it to use up the leftover cowpeas that I had after I made a cowpea curry (cooking dried beans is simultaneously a money saver and a pain in the butt sometimes).
I played a fun game where I made it and didn't tell the guys what was in it. You should have seen the double takes! Let me know if you like it!

I bookmarked it, and I'm curious enough to try it sometime, but ... beans? In a dessert pie? Should be fun to try, though.
