Cauliflower BQ Wing Bites for the Super Bowl

My husband goes to a Super Bowl party every year and asked me to come up with something he could take that everyone would like. He likes surprising his friends with a great vegan recipes because they sometimes give him a hard time for eating this way. I tested out Cauliflower BQ Wing Bites the other day, and OMGosh they are great! Lip-smacking good! The hubby said it’s a WIN! I posted them on the 'Recipe' then 'Main Dishes' on my blog. Anybody else have some good Super Bowl finger food recipes to share?

I was thinking of how good cauliflower would be like that today!
I've seen recipes, but they never appealed to me before, but yours sounds great! I do hot breaded tofu bites, seitan, and of course Gardein chik'n, but lately I've realized I'm kinda ignoring veggies!

Cauliflower does have a nice texture for this.

I'd like it really hot with some soy yogurt!

Yum my favourite vegan meal! I just ate an entire tray of them. So good! I think I'll make them for the Superbowl too this year

I've made this before, it's soooo good! My main problem is how crumbly the cauliflower is, I can never get very big pieces. I haven't tried bread crumbs before though, I'll have to give that a try

Oh man, I've been wanting to try something like this for ages...

My local store has Follow Your Heart vegan ranch dressing now, I bet it would be incredible with this!

I was actually thinking that this same cooking process would work well for mushrooms and tofu. I think they'd be delicious battered, breaded, and baked like this. I plan to try it, and will let you know how it goes. You can definitely make these cauliflower bites hotter by adding more cayenne pepper. You make them smoke! And the soy yogurt with them sounds yummy!

Glad you like my blog. Thanks for the encouragement and feedback!

Limes, maybe try cutting your cauliflower in larger chunks. Mine were what I'd call medium sized and didn't crumble. They were nice size chunks that turned out brown and crispy. Bet that would work for you too.

poledanceartist, did you already have a similar recipe, or did you try this one that quickly? I'm just curious if this one was your favorite or not. I love to hear feedback. BTW, I think I could eat a whole tray of them too.

Hi TerriNC! I actually had a similar recipe that I used but yours looks very good! I think the addition of bread crumbs is a great idea. Mine don't always have that true breaded taste to them so I think I need to try that next time! I use chickpea flour whisked with garlic powder, cayenne, paprika, himalayan salt, and black pepper. I coat the cauliflowers in that, bake for 15-20 minutes, then take them out and drench them in hot sauce. YUM!

Hi Terri, that sounds great! I am making this to bring to a Superbowl party http://www.onegreenplanet.org/vegan-...ocolate-chili/

I would love to bring cornbread to have with it, but it is so crumbly.

I don't eat cauliflower that often but I do like the stalk - it's crunchy

LedBoots, when I try to click on your link, my computer tells me I should download the latest version of FlashPlayer and if I don't click 'Ok' (which I won't), my computer freezes. I have to click to my desktop then close down all open windows. Not sure why it's doing that, but I can't see the recipe. What's the title of the recipe? I might try to google it and find another route.

I posted from my mobile, maybe that's why? Anyway, it is Chipotle Chocolate Chili from One Green Planet.
