Does anyone else here keep a food diary?

I find writing down what i eat helps me balance my diet out and keep track to stop me over eating.

Thing is im getting a bit bored of doing this on my own and wondered if anyone here would like to join in doing an on line food diary. Maybe we could support each other by doing so in the way of advice for those of us wishing to loose weight.

I need all the help i can get so posting what i eat and drink in a forum might make me be more carefull not to induldge in the bad stuff, what does anyone else think?

I have done this on another board ages ago and found i lost weight, as long as i stay totaly honest, which i will and even note down the bad stuff and pig outs on here, maybe it will shame me into not over eating.

could do with the help, anyone fancy joining me?

I could do with something like that to help me lose a little, although I'm away for two weeks from next saturday.

There actually already is a food diary type thread on VB. If you're into healthy eating you can post your food logs on the 'Healthy Food Log' thread. If you aren't always eating the most wholesome or well-balanced diet you can still post in the 'I Ate Today' thread

When I need to drop a few pounds or just see what kind of foods I'm actually eating I write down every single thing I put in my mouth, including the time (No cheating either)..It really helps me.. It makes me realize some of the things I am eating, I really did not want...Just habit..

ok then, no cheating, here goes

1.30 tub of roast veggie hummous with raw carrot sticks, spring onion and olives

2 cups of yogi tea

5.00 half a packet of plain choc covered roast coffee beans

2 cups of camomile tea

11.00 2 slices of wholemeal toast with chilli pate and a cup of hot chocolate made with single soya cream.

I know i ate too late tonight which isnt good and could have done without the choc drink.

Better effort tomorrow

I find that when I make myself write down what I eat I tend to not eat some things becuase I don't want to write it down. This has been a good method for losing weight for me.

2 small wholemeal rolls with pure spread

cup of yogi tea

half a carton of chick pea and tomato soup


2 squares of green n blacks mint chocolate

carrot sticks with humous

hot chocolate drink made with soya cream

snacking on red skin peanuts

camomile tea
