Ok, I'm sure several of you have decided to lose weight as a new year's resolution. This thread is for you. Here is what we'll do:
First decide how much you want to lose - there is no time frame - we can go until everyone reaches their goal or drops out. We will not be posting weights and pounds, only a percentage...
Take the number 100 and divide it by the number of pounds you wish to lose. Each week you will multiply the number of pounds you've lost by that number. That will help you track your progress without having to post your starting weight, current weight, or goal weight.
Example: You would like to lose 20 pounds. 100 divided by 20 = 5. Each pound represents 5% of your goal. The first week you lose 3 pounds. You take 3 pounds lost and multiply it by 5 and you get 15%. 3 pounds is 15% of your goal. That percentage is what we will use to track everyone's progress.
If you need help with the math you can pm me privately with the number of pounds you wish to lose (I don't need your starting weight or goal weight). I tried to explain it as best I can. Basically we're all starting at 0% and our goal is 100%.
We weigh in on Fridays. The first Friday you will not post a percentage because you will all be at 0% of your goal. The second Friday you will post your percentage using the formula above.
If you do not post your perecentage 2 consecutive Fridays you will be dropped.
