I just finished my morning jog. I needed a thread to post in. I hope it's ok to start a new one!

Anyway, I'm in the first week of Couch to 5K. Also doing 100 push-ups. Gonna start weight training today too, as soon as I dust off my weight bench.

So, work hard and good luck everyone! You can do it!

Meant to do P90X today but got sidetracked with stuff going wrong. Nothing awful, just time-consuming. But tomorrow is P90X and study day!

Edit: forgot to add goals!

P90X, though I might miss a few days here and there (like while traveling).
Less cookies than I ate last month...
More beans
More fruit - been awful since getting home

September's goal is to not gain weight and actually stick to no junk food this month.

DON'T BRING MY MOTHER INTO THIS!

Did the week one C25K workout, which is a five minute walk, and then alternating sixty seconds of jogging with ninety seconds of walking. That lasts for twenty minutes. That leaves me about five minutes away from home, which I walk.

It's a lot harder than the thirty second plan of last month. A lot harder than I expected it to be.

I also did 33 push-ups, according to the plan here for Week Two. http://hundredpushups.com/week2.html

And I saw a jack rabbit. )

I want to tune up my diet for September too. I tend to eat too much junk.

Same as yesterday, but I saw a coyote.

Didn't do push-ups, but took the push-up test. I can do 16 in a row, so I am still in the beginner category, but that's not bad, considering that two weeks ago I could only do one.

Did a 9.5 mile spartan run today at every mile I stopped and did 80 crunches, 25 push ups and 2 min planks. I am being gentle because of my new tattoo lol.

Sorry to bring the thread down again, but I stepped on the scale and have gained another 2 pounds. I felt like I was retaining water, so I cut back on salt and decided to weigh myself today. I now weigh ANOTHER pound heavier and I don't feel like I'm retaining much now. I will NOT let myself hit the next big number. I need to start weening myself off Zyrtec, see if that helps. I'm looking at myself in the mirror right now and I don't look or feel 15 pounds heavier than I did in March. My pants are a little tight, but my measurements are exactly the same.

Yesterday for lunch, instead of my usual unhealthy restaurant meal, I ordered a salad (from my work) and modified it a lot. I got the dressing on the side and dipped my fork into it for each bite. I didn't even use half of a small ramekin. I also threw away more than half of the fried onions that were on top that I usually eat. I ordered no cheese, so it was: extra lettuce, avocado, corn, tomato, there was supposed to be beans but I just realized they forgot them, cilantro, and veggie chik'n.

Aw you aren't bringing the thread down dana.

Taking a rest day. It feels so wrong not doing anything! I must be addicted.

I'm wearing a dress that used to be too tight though, so that is rewarding.

Last night was rough, worked 10 hours. By the time I got my break, I was so shaken from the crazy rush that I could barely eat. I just got home and even though I know I should have a snack before bed, I just can't eat. I hate that I don't get 10 minute breaks at my job, it's just not doable, just 1-30 minute.

Yesterday was also the first day of weaning off Zyrtec. Half pills now.

My Mom uses it and it's fine for her. I'm up to 137, from 123 earlier in the year. I only took half of a Zyrtec yesterday and my appetite wasn't ravenous the whole day. I'll find out tomorrow or Wed if the dose is too low because I'll start itching if it is. I'm starting to get a little congested, but it's manageable. I've suffered from allergies since February/March, this sucks.

Forty nine pushups.

Week 2 of C25K. Five minute warm up walk, then ninety seconds of jogging alternating with two minutes of walking, for twenty minutes. Wasn't sure how I would do, but I managed.

I totally understand not getting breaks at work. It does make it very hard.

also...I gained almost 8 pounds in the last 2 weeks? I do not know why. I am trying to figure out why, but nothing else changed....and yes, my clothes are not comfortable right now....

We will work on this together, H.

A lot of people tell me "But by law, you have to take breaks." I have to explain that in the food industry, it would be extremely hard to give all of the servers 3 breaks, 1 is hard enough during the rush. It's also not fun to keep changing up servers on customers. I worked 8 hours tonight, I'm exhausted.

Retaining water? Period coming up? I bet it's water retention, that's almost impossible to gain that much weight in a short period of time.

Day 2 going to 1/2 pills for Zyrtec: Hunger down TREMENDOUSLY. I didn't even eat half of my meal at work (Gardein chik'n and mushroom lettuce wraps). I had breakfast and that in between meal, that's all. It's 12:35am and yesterday I only had 2 meals, but I'm not hungry. I'm snacking on sunflower seeds now. It's weird because even when my stomach growls, food doesn't sound good. I also get full REALLY fast. Medication is so weird sometimes. Hopefully I can join the challenge officially, once the medication is out of my life for this year. I'll definitely take it again next year, it saved me from hundreds of sinus headaches.

I did 30/30s for twenty minutes. Gonna see if slacking off between the 90/120s will make a difference in how damned hard it's getting.

Strength training today. The other reason I decided to do 30/30s today. Don't want to over do it.

Chair Stand (without weights): 2 sets of 8 reps
Standing Leg Curl (five pound ankle weights) 2 sets of 8 reps
Knee Extension (five pound ankle weights) 2 sets of 8 reps
Side Hip Raise (five pound ankle weights) 2 sets of 8 reps
Biceps Curl (three pound dumbbells) 2 sets of 8 reps
Overhead Press (three pound dumbbells) 2 sets of 8 reps
Upward Row (three pound dumbbells) 2 sets of 8 reps
Toe Stand (without weights) 2 sets of 8 reps

Did P90X yesterday, but could barely make it through half of the workout (and even that with extra breaks). I was dizzy and nauseated. I think I was just... off... yesterday. I'm waiting for lunch to digest and then I'll try today's workout. I also slept a lot more last night, so that ought to help.

I've had really terrible eating and sleeping habits since getting back to the US. I haven't found my groove yet.

It's intense, don't stress if you can't do the entire workout.

Well I am dang proud of myself. We went camping this weekend and I made sure I got all my stuff DONE. Sunday I did the spartan WOD, Monday I did a 5.5 mile trail run with my baby in his carrier and then this morning I did the Spartan WOD which kicked my bootay!!! Tonight at 8pm I am going to fit in some yoga
My food was good and I even allowed a treat. Time to get this diet serious though because the spartan workouts are killer.

Yeah, I know it's a toughie. Today I did the shoulders/arms one and the abs section. I made it through just about all of the first one, but since I'm using resistance bands instead of weights and they don't have handles on them, a few of the moves just didn't work. The bands aren't nearly as long as the ones in the video, and without the handles... stretching them that far makes them too hard to hold on to. Did pretty well, though. And I only made it through a little bit of the ab video. But hey, I still did it!

Did P90X yoga, except for the last few minutes. Exercising alone for that long (the yoga video is an hour and a half) just made me really bored. So I gave up in the cool down and turned it off. I had already long since cooled down anyway, seeing as it got really easy at the end.
