I thought I'd like to be a forensic pathologist... I've since decided that I'm more interested in being a nutritionist or dietitian. I also want to move out of Alabama

I want so badly to leave New Jersey. My sister wants to go to film school in California so I've been thinking that once I'm done with school I'd move out there for a couple of years before coming back closer to home.

There's so much I want to do, but the main things are improve in my photography, get my bachelor's degree in early childhood education (I'm currently working on my assiociates degree), and travel. I want to go to Australia some day, and if it wasn't so far from home I'd seriously consider moving there, I still do, but I need to visit it first lol

I don't really know what I want to do. I'd love to do something with animals, but I really don't know what. I don't want to be a vet or anything like that. When I visited a university a few weeks ago someone there was studying biology and hopes to become a public educational person at a zoo and that sounds fun...but I don't know if I really agree with zoos either.

I don't think that I'd be able to be an anesthesiologist since I'm afraid of needles.

I want to go to Dartmouth, Harvard, or Julliard. I want to get a degree in Lit., or if I'm at Julliard, acting or music. I'd really love to be on Broadway, considering I adored Phantom of the Opera, Hairspray, Mamma Mia, and Wicked. If that doesn't work out... I'd like to be a writer I might even want to be one of the scientists that comes up with alternatives to animal testing! I've been looking into those since the third grade. Another one of my dreams is to open a vegetarian grill in L.A. That would be awesome!

You said it so good

I don't see myself as a teacher or a lawyer though- even if I really like to debate.

I have so many things I'd love to do. But I am not a 9-5 kind of girl and I never will be.

I could see my self persuing acting & modeling, opening my own vegan health store, writing, and a bunch of other things.

I wonder if I could do all of them...

Lately I've been really wondering what I'm going to do with my life. Since I can remember, I've wanted to be some kind of doctor. The kind of doctor has changed over the years. I wanted to be an opthamologist for a really long time, and a geneticist most recently. But in the last years or so, I've come to realize I don't think I could handle it. I'm extremely lazy, even though I'm good at what I do. I'm a straight A student in school. Imagine how I would do if I actually put effort into anything?

One of the only things that I actually work at is music and writing. In the last year or so, I decided I really wanted to be a singer in a band. I tell people I want to be a rock star. XD But it's an extremely hard industry and I wonder if I'm even good enough to make it. Is it worht it to try? So I've been doubting that lately too.

And then even more recently I'm realizing I could write. Even while doing anything else, I can still write. I've already finished writing a book and its sequel is also nearly finished. The third book also has a lot grounding too. Sadly I could never publish these books because they're essentially "fan fiction." ... lol. But I have amillion other thigns that i could work on. Anyway, I hope to publish something. Again, IDK if I'm even good enough to cut it, but whatever. lol

For now though, I'm just going to attmpt to concentrate on my senior year of high school coming up and finding a college I adore. I think I might have found it. Ugh but I have to write stupid essays...ewwww. I hate hate hate essays with eveything in me.

lol...yup. That was my huge spiel. w00t.

i graduated HS in 2006. I got a full scholarship to a college. I went for a semester. Long story short, I met the guy of my dreams and moved away to be with him giving up my entire scholarship. 9 months later he told me he wasn't happy with me. So I packed my bags and moved back and I have been working full-time. I finally got my life back together and I will be going back to school at The Art Institute of Raleigh. I am going for Graphic Design. I want to be a Greeting Card Designer.

if you know what you want in life you will do anything to get it.

Where in Jersey are you? I am in Sussex/Morris counties in NJ, close to NY state...but went to college at Monmouth University down the shore.

After school, I'd like to join the Peace Corps... My boyfriend wants me to go to art school, just so I won't do that.

I just don't know what I want to do for a career, though. I could maybe go into editing, or design... I don't know...

What I DO know is that I'm going to go to college, and have a career and stability before I even CONSIDER getting married, or pregnant.

I'm so disgusted with my sister. She was a straight A student in highschool, and had a full ride scholarship to her first choice college... which she turned down, because her pothead boyfriend and his barely-there GPA couldn't get in. Sooo... they enrolled together in the local community college... and dropped out within two weeks, because two classes a week was too much to handle with their jobs at McDonald's! ... then they quit their jobs, and bummed off his parents for a couple months... aaand now she's barely 18, and accidentally pregnant. Shotgun wedding in November.

Sorry, I'm ranting. I just want to say.. Guys, please don't be my sister.

I have no idea what I want to be yet, it's really a hard decision, lol.

I know I definitely want to get into a good university though - but other than that I have no specific details on which university, what courses I'm going to take, what I'm going to do after that.

mainly of course I just want to enjoy myself.. live a good life y'know?

but with that being said.. I should really get into thinking, haha. that and make sure I keep up my grades during my last two years of school, and especially the last one (grade 12) because I consider that to be the most important.

But I have a few years to really decide

I'm in college studying psychology.

I want to counsel people in real life situations. We all know that we may not be mentally ill persay, but there are things in our life that bother us and really get to us that we need to work on.

Those are the kinds of things I would like to work with.

For the longest time, I was convinced I was going to become a vet. Then I realized I suck at science and math. So that was no-go.

Now I'm looking at a career in law. Law school is pretty 'spensive, though.

I really don't know. I have three things, all pretty much unrelated to each other.

My first is something with animals, I really don't know what yet, but I do not want to be a vet.

My second is something in the music industry, because I really enjoy finding new music that I love, like I recently discovered Kerli and ONA both who I thoroughly enjoy.

My third is something with languages, I speak English and French fluently, I am learning German and I have a long list of languages I want to learn (Finnish, Russian, Estonian, Italian, Japanese).

After high school and university, I'd like to become an epidemiologist, studying the way diseases spread and how to combat them. Although it generally requires advanced degrees, and I have no idea how I'll pay for it...

Basically your in a similar situation to me. I've left high school but now have no idea what I should do to achieve my goals (to get the qualifications that I should have whilst at high school). However, I know that I want to work with animals but don't know of any specifics.

Although I have thought about being an author and publishing my poetry that i've written over the years - not sure how well that'd work though.

I want to be an actress. Stage, not screen. I want to marry my best friend, cause he's totally amazing, and act on broadway.

Oh yeah, I'm all about setting realistic goals for myself.

I don't want to do ANYTHING special in my future. I want to at least graduate high school with the minimum requirements and then find a job doing lawn service, towing, garbage service, trucking, or something like that. Those are the awesome/dirty jobs I like!!!! I've always enjoyed labor. As for housing, I just want a one-floor, tiny house where I can live my years in alone and solitary, because that's awesome and quiet and not annoying....plus, it means I don't have to worry about anyone else).

I want to teach primary school...after getting my degree in Early Childhood Education, of course. I also want to work with animal rescues on the side. Travel. Maybe teach English in foreign countries or join the Peace Corps. IDK really.

I want to be an environmentalist of sorts...probably not in my home country of Britain; but somewhere that deserves it e.g with endangered species possibly (in Britain and other western countries we've screwed ourselves over with unsustainable development, pollution etc, but pandas and tigers never asked to be wiped out)

so maybe for a company like IUCN, who knows :/

I've graduated from highschool (without any particular honours besides the distinction of having earned an 'Extended French' certificate). I got accepted into a university I love attending (as well as three other more well respected ones across the province).

I made Dean's list this year, got a Success Series certificate, completed the Emerging Leaders program, and stayed with my boyfriend long-distance. Our one year, two month anniversary was Sunday.

I was sure, coming out of high school, that my life was going to look like Carrie Bradshaw's - living in a big city, free from obligations besides the occasional writing-related work (she writes a column, I want to edit books for a living) - but after having spent a year away, and having taken courses I knew nothing about and doing things way outside my comfort level (like attending three day student summit on hunger in Toronto) I'm not as sure of what I want to do.

Sorry if that's a little off topic. I also want to note - I don't think any time, energy, or money put into ones education is ever wasted. Period.
