I am so annoyed. exams have finished, and everyone is celebrating. We had a beach party organised, but then I had to go on fire pager so couldnt leave school. I had to sit alone in my house and was the only person in my year left apart from those in other houses on fire pager but it was an early close time so I couldnt even visit. And now, all my friends are going to watch the sex in the city movie and I'm not allowed to go. So I'll be all alone AGAIN. grrrrrrr. Usually I dont mind bieng on pager, because we usually have to stay in school, your just not allowed to drink any alcohol.

Help to cheer me up. And another thing.. Is wine vegan? I always get confused because people say different things. I know guinness isn't.

Sorry you are stuck alone in your house on pager duty!

I'm not a wine drinker but I did find this:

Wines And Beers

Wine is clarified, or cleared, after fermentation. Some of the ingredients used include:

- edible gelatins (made from bones)

- isinglass (made from the swim bladders of fish)

- casein and potassium caseinate (milk proteins)

- animal albumin (egg albumin and dried blood powder)

[For more information see Vegan Wines available in the U.S. and Vegan Wine Guide. For two on-line retailers of vegan wine, click here.]

In the UK beer (bitter) is also commonly fined using isinglass. Many bottled bitters and most lagers are vegan. Guinness is not suitable for vegans. Most spirits are vegan except for Campari (contains cochineal) and some Vodkas (passed through bone charcoal).

[Click here for a list of vegan beers in the U.S. For the UK, see The UK Vegetarian Society's list of vegetarian beers.]

actually dont bother about this post. I was really angry when I wrote it, and now I just feel embarrased of it. Moaning is boring.

thanks for the reply spree. I never knew that about red wine, but luckily I dont like it anyway.

Congratulations on finishing your exams, pal. Sorry that the last day didn't go as smooth as expected.

But hey, there's always tomorrow.

And you didn't miss much with the SATC city movie.
