I know there are 100 other threads about this, but I thought I would make my own.... I have been a vegetarian for 6 months now and so far it's been great. But when it comes to taking lunch to school...I draw a blank. Lately I have been eating TONS of pb&J sandwiches...which is really monotonous after a while. Obviously there is salads, but other than that what are some good lunch ideas? I dont really like tofu much so that is kinda out of the question for me.

Anyway..just looking for some feedback.

I eat lots of leftovers. They always add interest to your food. I'm making my Veggieboards blog about this if you want to check it out for some ideas.

Get a thermos, you could make homemade soup.

Hummus and tortillas/veggies.

Leftover pasta/ whatever is good room temperature.

It's all good.

Vegan Lunch Box has tons of ideas, though, ironically, the last entry was a pb & j sandwich.

Hummus and some dipping vegetables definitely comes recommended, though I usually go for a salad.

Use tempeh if you don't like tofu, I have never tried tempeh...and it's a lot like tofu. Also use eggplant for making no egg eggplant sandwiches. and make some veggie stir fry or maybe sizzling some vegetables and putting them in a salad is fine. Look up things on the internet, read about recipes and get the info about more.

I like to bring microwavable frozen food since we have a microwave in the cafeteria. Also, they have meatless deli stuff at the grocery store, so you could make a sandwich with that. I don't think it's very good, but you might like it.
