Hey, did anyone else take their ACT's this year, and if so, how'd you guys do? I managed to pull a 31 some how, I honestly think I got some lucky guess benefits. There's no way I earned one, especially on account of my lousy math skills. Regardless of whether I deserved it or not, I'm DEFINATELY happy with it, hopefully this could lead to some much needed scholarship money.

Cissy- only a 29?! Twenty-nine is a great score, especially depending on how many times you took the test. I got a 29 twice before I got my highest score, and it all depends on which months you take the test b/c its curved (which definately worked in my favor)

I've only taken it once - I don't know if I'll take it again. The weird part was that I got a 32 on the science - I hate science, and I'm not in it

cissy - i think i ended up doing the best on the science section too! i was certainly surprised. though all it was was looking at graphs and answering questions *shrug*

i did way bad on the math section (well, not way bad, but worse than the other sections), which aggrivated me, because i'm normally really good in math, but i hadn't taken a math class in quite a long time -- and of course, as soon as my math class started this semester, it all came back in a big rush of "D'OH!" so if i were to take it now, i bet i'd get a 36. it would be pointless for me to take it now, though *kisses high school goodbye*

Hehe, the first time I got a 23 in science and a 29 or 30 in everything else. Kind of bad since science is supposed to be my best subject. It didn't help that I kind of fell asleep/dozed off/started daydreaming (you know that feeling) during that portion and quickly filled in C for half the test.

Its also been my experience so I can't talk for everyone but I've got a few friends who would always say how "easy" the test was and how well they think they did, and they did do well, but they got like 23s and 25s, not 30s.

i think the act is definitely harder than the sat -- gets more in-depth (especially that !#[email protected]! math section! )

That's awesome that you got into MSU - Test scores honestly don't mean crap. My brother is a freakin' genius, and he didn't do so well on the SAT. Test scores depend on so much more than your knowledge - how you felt that day, how you slept, if you had anything else on yoru mind, etc.

I remember those tests. Took em two years ago, pretty sure I got a 34 on the ACT. Did better on the SAT's though, with a solid 1600.

I didn't take the SAT, in fact I used that as a way to weed through the colleges. Anyone taking SAT only was out. I took the ACT with the rest of Colorado juniors for free without studying, and with full intentions to use it as a practice test so I really was only looking at the types of question and not worrying about a thing. I got a 30, and applied to only one school and I haven't looked back.

GLamboy doesnt even know what the ACT is but Glamboy signed up for them(june 12) Glamboy is hoping to avoid the SAT's like the Black Death! Glamboy goes back to sleep now.
