SkunkPumpkin,

All your food sounds so delicious! I LOVE guacamole!! I hate this distorted perception thing... see, I had problems with an eating disorder (still do, actually, but they're gone for the most part) and this seems like so much compared to when I was eating like 400 calories a day

yeah I totally understand! I didn't have a full-fledged eating disorder but i was really heading in that direction (obsessing over food/calories, exercising obsessively, counting calories, yadayada.) anyways, guacamole is my FAVORITE! it's just...so good. Do you want recipes? sometimes i whip up my own meals but lots of my stuff is from cookbooks, so I could easily give you some. PM me.

yesterday:

strawberry soy yogurt and a rice cake

soy banana split

an apple

another rice cake

chocolate banana balance bar

tofu that was based off a tofurky recipe

a potatoe with mushroom gravy

salad with tofu tahini dressing

I also sort of having an eating problem. I have all this week off, and have been eating in one day what I usually eat in two. I guess that is a good thing, but it is sort of hard to take it.

This is crazy.

I know there have been studies to prove a correlation between vegetarians and eating disorders (especially in teens), but this seems really common. It actually makes sense, though, because we CARE about what we put in our mouths and most people wouldn't take the time to write down what they eat.

Okay, how many of us will admit to having eating problems, an eating disorder, or history of an eating disorder in the past?

I am one.

Errrrgh, today I made taco's for dinner and I got locked outside because my stupid cat closed the door and my veggie crumbles were cooking on HIGH heat. When I finally got back inside it looked alright (only a little on the burnt side) and I figured it would be ok. So here I am excited that I finally get to eat taco's again (its my favorite food) and it tastes so crappy!!! You could tell it was burnt more than I thought!!! It would have been perfect if I didn't overcook it!!!!!

I had an eating problem for about 6 months last year...I know it's not very long comparatively, but I was constantly calorie-counting and trying to stay below extreme amounts. I would go into detail but I won't because that's not the point right now. But with the help of some friends I realized I was crazy and hurting myself, and now I'm focused on eating well so that I can have enough energy to do everything I can!

My problem has been going on for the past 8 months or so. I don't think I am fat, but I just won't get hungry, and that has sort of turned into me obsessing over food. On days like these past ones where I eat a normal, healthy amount I freak out and get all mad, thinking I am binging. I am constantly hyper, being active and such. I have always eaten small amounts, so when this kicked in, it made it even smalller. I am usually above 1000 calories, so it isn't extreme, but 1200 is my average. It has subsiding a little, mainly because my best friend ended up in an anorexia hospital for 2 months.

Today was REALLY bad eatingwise. Recently, I've been eating so much everyday. It's all crap too. I'm too lazy to make and bring lunch to school, so I usually just buy something there, which is chips or cookies, since that's all they have. Well, today is an extreem example of how bad I eat, and I think posting this is going to force me to start eating better since it's a bit embarrasing.

Breakfast- Peanut butter sandwhich

snack- rasberry/strawberry juice

Lunch- bag of doritos

snack- can of pepsi and 2 airheads

dinner- rice and kidney beans

snack- 20 oz coke, bag of cheetos, a few spoonfulls of icecream, green tea

Breakfast- cheerios & soymilk, kiwifruit

Lunch- almond butter & jelly sandwich, apple

Dinner- lightly stir-fried tofu & veggies in a mushroom broth sacue

(I hope dinner was vegan, I went out to eat, and it was good)

S: cantaloupe; homemade vegan choc. chip cookie bar

L: about 10 almonds; spinach salad w/italian dressing; 1/2 pita filled with black beans and spinach

S: a falafel with tahini (It was awesome! My first time ever having one!); orange juice

I was up all night typing a paper (and visitng VB, haha) on Sudnay, so monday was kind of erratic eating, especially once I had been up for 36 hours. Here's what I think I ate yesterday...

B: two sugar cookies (I had baked them to take to school with me, whoops!), cheerios

L: an orange

After school: many many cupcakes (baked a whole bunch sunday/monday morning) with pink frosting. I felt so bad eating them all, yet the pink made me very happy

More snacking: grapes, half a banana PB sandwich, Mike and Ike's

Dinner: rice with flaxseed, pinto beans, and sauteed mushrooms, onions, green pepper

ADS: Many servings of choclate chips, many servings of icing/frosting

Lol, surprisingly I did not have a stomachache yesterday, and even more surprisingly, I didn't feel that bad about eating any of this. Eating disorder begone!
