Higher intakes of unhealthy foods during pregnancy predicted externalizing problems among children, independently of other potential confounding factors and childhood diet. Children with a high level of unhealthy diet postnatally had higher levels of both internalizing and externalizing problems. Moreover, children with a low level of postnatal healthy diet also had higher levels of both internalizing and externalizing problems.

I thought this was interesting to learn and a reminder that we need to feed kids healthy diets early on in their lives! yes.gif

Wow, it's amazing how much your lifestyle while pregnant affects the baby later on. Although it kind of makes you wonder how anyone survived back when people smoked and drank and ate whatever they wanted while pregnant. laugh.gif

Thanks, Mum!

Maybe something has changed since finding out more about how diet and lifestyle affects pregnancy but we don't know about it yet; crime is dropping, you know!

Thank you for putting this into perspective for me. I have been diagnosed with various labels, and I have reason to assume my mom wasn't eating healthy. I don't blame her though. This knowledge wasn't really discussed until recently.
