The task manager used to work and now it doesn't. I have to shut windows totally, and that is the only reason I can be on line.

The task manager has nothing in the top to choose from....to select.

Even when I close it.....I have to check my mail first before clicking on any favorites and if I click them later, my putor locks up!

I was doing my own thing quietly and YOU are the one who created this post trying to make a big deal out of it. Keep flaming the fire. That must be what you want.

As I don't understand what it was you typed..... you described something that sounds like a virus/malware or something.

The task manager thing my brother did to his win XP machine, I think I just double-clicked on it and it went back to normal. Aside from that yeah, it's probably infected, stop looking up porn.

Are you using the default Vista theme?

I changed my theme to Windows Classic and a million wonderful things happened to my computer! Well, it started running a lot more quickly and efficiently, and everything worked. Might be worth a try if you're not doing it already.
