I need to get a new cellphone and I don't want a smartphone. Does anyone have a verizon phone that's not a smartphone that they can recommend? Right now the phone I have is over 2 yrs old and the battery lasts me only 2 hours before I need to charge it again! I've been due for a free upgrade for awhile now so I figured I'd just get a new phone instead of replacing the battery. Any suggestions?

My mom just got the LG Cosmos Touch and seems to like it.

My 85 year old mother got a new cellphone from Verizon last year. I don't remember exactly what she got, but it was their cheapest, simplest flip phone. Is that what you're looking for?

Originally that is what I wanted because I've only owned flip phones in the past and I'm paranoid about "butt dialing" with other phones. I don't want a touchscreen phone because I'm always just throwing my phone in my purse so I don't want it to get all beat up and scratched plus I like using actual buttons. At this point though I just want a phone that is non touchscreen, not a smartphone and has the BEST battery or at least one that lasts an entire day without dying.

I've found a couple that look good but now I just have to see who has them for the best price.

I'm so picky, indecisive and cheap

In other news, the iPhone is officially coming to Verizon in February! I know you said you didn't want a smartphone, but I do.

Ohhhh yeahhh I was due for an upgrade a loooong time ago.

My sister has an older version of the iPhone and she thinks I should either wait for a later version of it or consider the Droid or another similar smartphone.

I hate verizon for so many reasons! I finally switched to Credo mobile- they'd been sending me fliers reminding me how much entrenched verizon is in funding so many extreme conservative groups. Credo does a lot to advocate more on the liberal side of things. So far they've been great, and also covered my switchover costs.
No Apple, but a couple good smartphones- that's the downside, they don't offer many phones.

Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good
