Just curious to know if anyone has attempted or is growing an indoor (or outdoor) belladonna. The flowers are pretty, but I don't know where to go to get seeds to grow them?!! and also, I plan on growing them in a 4 foot tall "greenhouse" that will have the appearance of a greenhouse version of a very nice aquarium (the greenhouse is approx. $1600.00, but that's besides the point)...(I figure by the time the thing is big enough to require to be put outdoors, I'll have my own house with a yard! lol...)

I can't just go around florida looking for a tree to dig up (well, I could, but then I'd probably go to jail for tearing up someone's property... I could easily do a lot of things..ie-i could go eat a steak, but I won't! ) lol

This idea is just kinda out there, and a bit of some time away from actually existing for me, so ideas would be great, or at least a starting point as to where to find these seedlings for purchase (as well as cultivation info).

Have no experince here except to say that I think belladonna is poisonous to domestic animals. I could be wrong about that, though. I'm curious about the greenhouse you want to by, though...do you have a link? I'd love to see it.

you'll need to look under products, and then on the right. I'm under the firm belief that it is covered on all sides, and it is so big, I will probably be too short for it, but it will fit the plant for a yr or two.

also, yes, it is poisonous due to atropine.

I think I have seen belladonna seeds for sale on some wiccan herb websites. These sites ususally sell seeds that are hard to find etc.
