soybean meal as fertilizer?

I've read that soybean meal can be a good source of nitrogen for your garden. I do compost, but I'm quite sure that I didn't have enough. Has anyone added whole soy flour or something similar to their veganic garden?

I know nothing of gardening, although I have heard of composting the soy pulp from making soy milk.

I really just to wanted to say that's another great reason to get a soy milk maker!
I make a 2 quart pot about 3 three times a week and make all kinds of patties and stuff with the okara.
It's also a great skin treatment.

So...appartently okara is a great fertilizer!

never heard of this being used as a fertilize. Another natural fertilize, and free option is dilute your urine with water in a glass jar, and pour
the contents onto the soil around your plants :-)
if you urinate 10 times a day, you would be able to fertilize at least 10 plants :-D
