So, I need a job..I'm always broke, and though I know it's going to be hard balancing school with work, it's a must. Anyhoot, my questions to you guys is where do you work? I obviously don't want to work with food, and I'm horrible with numbers so any type of cashier job would give me ahernia(sp??). I was thinking maybe going to a couple of vet clinics around my area and asking if they needed someone to clean the cages, walk the animals, etc. It may be a long shot, but when I interned at a vet clinic awhile ago, they had someone who did that and I figured, it's better than much of anything else. But other than that, I'm not sure where else to look, so if you guys have any suggestions, that'd be dandy. Oh, and I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section, I wasn't sure where to put it.

Sure, any job that you think wouldn't be atrocious, go for it. A job's a job, really, it just depends on if you can deal with it for any amount of time. Housecleaning would be real easy to do on the weekends, working in a coffee shop isn't so bad, (does that count as food?), what about working at the Animal Shelter, also? Is there a health food store you could apply at? You could stock shelves or produce or something...

I need a job too. Let me know if you find anything good to do. I'm thinking of getting a job, or at least applying, at my local Whole Foods. As long as they don't make me work in the deli or seafood dept. I love that place.

Okay, i've been doing the vet job thing for three and a half years, and i know you have some experience, but i feel i have to warn you it isn't all dog **** and roses.



Its a really hard business, its physically and emotionally draining, the hours are hard and unpredictable. You need to be prepared for that.
