I'm so annoyed and confused! I just had a pretty immature and pointless argument with my best friend. A bit of background info. She slept over last night and this morning before she went home she came into the living room with a glass of water and started splashing me and my sister with the water. Ok my parents are away and I thought was a bit of a disrespectful thing for her to do as I was the one who'd have to clean it up and really, you don't do that sorta thing at other people's houses, do ya? Anyway so my sis ran away but she kept doing it and then my sis decided to get revenge and started doing it back. so they were in the kitchen making a mess and the floor is vinyl so it got wet. I was really tired already and loadsa house work to do already...so anyway here;s the conv. PLEASE TELL ME IF I WAS OUTA LINE! OR IF SHE WAS? just tell me exactly what you guys think! [personally, i find the repitition of "i see your true colors" as annoying. It holds no real meaning, you don't explain it, and it seems snotty and like you're trying to incite her or manipulate a certain reaction.



it's probably enough to say "you annoyed me, here's why, please don't do it again." and then accept her apology. The rest is unnecessary and only breeds resentment.



think about why you kept doing it. If you kept doing it to make her angry or for some revenge purpose, then obviously it was going to cause suffering or anguish. Since this is harmful to her and your relationship, why do it? If you want peace, you have to act peaceful.

hehe oh sorry maybe I should have made it more clear that "I see your true colours shining through" was my friend's user name. We've sorted out the problem now and made up anyway

Its not that its water, but its more of her lack of respect for being in someone elses house, and not even noticing. She is the one who blew it out of porportion, not you. Dont worry. Exactly. Even if there was no mess to clean up, the friend still disrespected Veganmuncher by not obeying her request to stop. When you're in someone else's house, it's their choice what happens in said house, and if you don't like it, you should leave.
