So the same weekend he told his brother (and vicariously through his brother, his sister) about me, he also told his parents. This was over X-Mas break. He said his parents' reaction/thoughts on the matter (mainly, the age difference) is "irrelevant", because each party has understood (since he was about 16) that he's going to what he wants to do, and his parents won't change his mind.

Of course, my mother is worried to bits (mainly, because of the age difference), but it's an understood between her and I that I will do what I want to do, and she's not going to change my mind. And while this may be a rather "foolish" decision (depending on how you look at it), I genuinely enjoy the man's company and I'm having fun.

My New Year's resolution was to become vegan, and over dinner last night he asked, "What can I do to help you with it?" He made sure the couscous mix he bought at the store was vegan; he bought me lots of veggies to grill. He told me that while he's not interested in the diet/lifestyle himself ( ), he still admires my convictions, etc.

So...I'm currently pretty taken with This Charming Gentleman...

I think it's better than those shampoo commercials, too.

Q: How many poets does it take to change a light bulb? A: to change the bulb, 1000 to say it's already been done.
