I am turning to the Veggie Boards with an odd question.

I am writing a fictional story about a magician who becomes

vegan. Prior to this change in his life he used a rabbit in his act.

My question what should he do with the rabbit now that

he is vegan? This animal would obviously perish in the wild.

Should he keep it in his apartment in a cage?

Should he try and find a home in the country where the rabbit

could be protected in an outdoor hutch?

Would it be out of the question for him to continue using the

rabbit in his act?

I appreciate any comments,

Maybe he uses the rabbit in his act, but in a new way, like in a way that the rabbit enjoys or has chosen for himself.

Or maybe it's a magic rabbit who can talk and tell him how he feels about the act.

Just some ideas...

I think the rabbit should become a house rabbit.

A house rabbit for sure Having guinea pigs taught me a lot about nutrition and wanting to be veg*n, I'd imagine a house bunny would be similar. They have a nice large cage that is left open and they have free rein of the house.

And perhaps he could adopt the rabbit a friend so he isn't lonely?
