When I went to the vet today to get Kira her second set of shots, they gave me a "puppy kit" from Frontline/Heartgard. It has a free tag in it for www.getmehome.com . It's a site that lets you register your pet for free incase someone finds him/her. I just finished registering Kira. You go on the site and register your phone number, first and last name, email address, home address etc. Not all of that fits on a regular dog tag which makes this tag a nice alternative to a regular one.

It's a good idea, but I think it should be used along with a traditional ID tag, rather than in place of one.

There is still a sizable chunk of the population that does not know how to operate, or has no access to, the Internet.

slops, gloops, and gruels.

We also bought a regular tag. I was just thinking this was a nice idea since you can't fit as much information on a regular tag, such as your first/last name and your full home address (sometimes). All I could fit on Kira's tag was our phone number and her name.
