I will be getting an African Grey parrot soon, but I have a problem. I want a good name for him and I want it to be of a scientific or philisophical nature. Can you guys help me out?

I think they're all good names.

I'm still not convinced about how wise it is getting an African Grey though. You're in your teens aren't you? That's a huge huge commitment.

I like Archimedes. That was the name of Merlin's owl in Disney's Sword in the Stone cartoon.

Since the bird is an AFRICAN grey, you could name him after an African American Scientist. I have not spent a lot of time on black history so the only one I can think of now is Booker T. Washington.

Booker T. Bird. Hmmmmm

Well, the bird will be African, so you need someone associated with Africa, methinks. How about "Schweitzer"? We all know the great work he did, and his views on animals are a strong reason too (plus he was veg*n)

Waddya say?
