I can't remember where I read about using the soy-chai one for french toast batter (was it here?), but I tried it and it's really tasty! A lot better than drinking it sraight

Yep. I specifically asked them if any of their ingredients come from animals or animal byproducts. They said all ingredients are organic and from plant origin. Where some juices may be vitamin fortified, the vitamins are either from a plant source or synthetic. I wish I would have saved the email..I could have just copied/pasted what they wrote back.

The soy-Chai one...ohmygod. I stock up on those big bottles with like 5 of 'em...gone in 2-3 days. I love that stuff.

The rest are great...except for the Tomato one. Ack...

Cheers.

Smooth and yummy, but damn expensive. And I wish they were organic. Last time I looked at one, it wasn't.

They are pretty expensive, but the litre bottles are a good deal. You can get a litre bottle at my local supermarket for $3.50, while a bottle half the size is $2.50.

You guys have convinced me to try these now. So which are the best flavors?

I'd almost be willing to grab a liter for $3.50. Last one I saw was $3.99. And, again, not organic.

I tried one of these sometime in September..I tried the berry one. I didn't like it at all. It tasted bitter and harsh to me..the texture was good though, it was very smooth..it was very thick though and the color reminded me of fresh blood a little bit, heh.

FYI - The carrot juice is organic. It's really good too.

Bolthouse Farms Fruit Smoothies are so good...

I just tried the Immunity Support Tropical one yesterday

and Berry Boost today!!!

Yummy!! They are $3.00 ($2.99 to be precise) for a 33.8 oz. bottle

It's very filling. I bought the Tropical one as a meal yesterday because I had a novacaned mouth (gum cleaning at the dentist).

Since this thread is back to the top, I'll add a warning-- they have a new product out called Perfectly Protein Mocha Cappucino. It looks very similar to Perfectly Protein Vanilla Soy Chai, but it is made with DAIRY, not soy.

That is all.

I was trying to get vitamins so was drinking these. I called and asked about the B7 (biotin) in the Multi V Goodness one being vegan and I was told that the VitaminD3 in it is from animal sources. I noticed that you all wrote on the boards that you were told this stuff was vegan. I was told that it is not vegan. This is sick. I would never buy anything from them again and I doubt that their other stuff is really vegan either. Also the chai one says it contains sugar. That sugar may not be vegan sugar. Anyways who the heck puts animal in a fruit juice/smoothie? It's supposed to be all fruit and vitamins from fruit.

I called them today and they told me that the vitamins, at least that the VitaminD3 in it comes from animal. I didn't ask more than that. That was enough. So they are telling us both two different things.

The original post is from years ago. They probably weren't making that flavor back then. Vitamin D3 ugh.

And the original postings were also about the Chai one. I think it was the same Chai one. But anyways whatever, the next time someone googles this they can see the stuff is not all vegan:
This is the email they sent me:

The point is that people need to watch out and check everything.
As for them I would never buy their sh*t again. Nothing from them.
Ever.

Bolthouse Farms is very upfront about their products on their website now. They specifically showcase their vegan products--

http://www.bolthouse.com/products/sortby/vegan

If you're not ok with that I hope you only wear organic, fair cottons, bike or walk, and live pretty much in a hut

I've had their Daily Roots with the beets and red carrots. Pretty hard for me choke down raw beet juice, but the nutritional analysis was worth it
I will be sticking to cooked beets though...

Carrot, mango and ginger was great!

So many new flavors...
