Wondering if anyone uses any type of food-wash instead of just rinsing veggies with water.
When the food comes from my own garden I don't worry so much about what's on it. I know I haven't used any sort of chemicals and no one else has touched any of it with their filthy who-knows-where-they've-been hands! But when I buy veggies at the store I always wonder what kind of stuff I might not be cleaning off completely.
Does anyone have any product they use or suggestions for this sort of thing?
Thanks!

My daughter is a fanatic and uses lemon, vinegar and water. Can't vouch for how effective it is, though.

I soak in cold water with a splosh of white vinegar and rinse well. I believe the p.h. is enough to kill most bacteria.
I'm not too diligent about it, but I've never been sick from food either.

Brilliant! I've never that quote before and really appreciate it!
