http://www.fltimes.com/opinion/columnists/columnist_one/article_8d3e2db2-f188-11e2-b9db-0019bb2963f4.html    We apparently have the worst puppy mills in the United States... its very disgusting. I know I drive by three of them all the time, unable to do a single thing. This makes me very sad.

Hi, I can't get that link to work even though it's the right one.

Apparently you can't read the entire article unless you have subscribed/registered.

So I was unable to find the article else where and on top of that the page blocks you from being able to copy and paste it, but the article revolves around the fact the the Finger Lakes Region of New York has some of the worst puppy mills, and while I believe our region is probably the biggest in NY its still very sad to hear. NYS doesn't do much about it either, I know the shelter closest to me has gone out and tried to intervene and offer money to take the dogs. Sadly the shelter works off of little to no money each year, and its a no kill shelter so some of the animals taken in have been there for 10 years on the shelters bill.

That's incredibly sad news. It's awful no matter where it is, but I'm only a few hours away and was in Canandaigua last weekend. Very sad to know that I was near those kind of places.

You are right it is sad that its every where, I guess I just find it more frustrating because I know I am right next to it, and there is nothing I can do :(
