Ugh, just shared on Facebook. How revolting. This is what I'll be mentioning the next time I get a "Tofu is gross"-type comment from an omni.

There are also reports out there about chicken nuggets before they are chicken nuggets. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/1..._n_749893.html

Either way its disgusting to know humans are capable of feeding this crap to other humans. And disgusting that those educated on these facts are still willing to consume it.

And I didn't even like them when I was an omni.

Good call!

I hear from my mother all the time, "I don't want to hear what's in my food." So yeah, most people are cool with just not knowing. Ick. No mystery in what's in my oranges!

Ugh, that drives me CRAZY! My brain could not work in a more different way, I literally feel like my head is exploding when I try to process the concept of not wanting to know where your food comes from.

I mean... You put it in your MOUTH.

How can you have even a vague idea that you're probably eating something really disgusting and just not care? Does not compute.

Agreed. But it's a common thing with omnis. They don't want to know about slaughterhouses, the lack of sanitary conditions in which animals are kept in life and in death, etc.

Same here. I really can't understand the mentality behind that way of thinking.

I saw something similar, recently, on Jaime Oliver's Fast Food Nation...

This is so beyond gross. Is it sad that as I read it I thought, "This totally won't stop [my boyfriend] from eating burgers."?

Pink slime is the Western version of China's 'cardboard hamburgers'. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/...n3049080.shtml I don't know which is worse.

I think most people who eat the burgers would read this and continue eating it. Nothing surprising to me.
