I'm just... a little hesitant. Can you even buy that from canada in the states?

I think (i'm not sure though) I saw it in Bulk Barn. I have moved to Ontario recently and when I went inside the store I was so excited to see so much good stuff that I don't remember exactly. I saw chia and flax for sure. But no harm in trying right!

Yeah I put them on salads and in smoothies. They're great!

bulk barn would be worth a try. bobs red mill does a hulled hemp too, and you can get that brand of stuff in ontario... dunno if its raw though. give it a go, why not! i've not tried the whole seeds, but i know that i don't like hemp milk, myself, (tastes a bit um... 'ropey?' to me)- but in the right thing, i can see a bit of rope-iness being quite pleasant.
