And maybe I can cook on the grill? Grilling season is coming up and I would rather make my own than buy them. I haven't had any luck with finding a veggieburger (besides store bought) that I can cook on the grill or really fry in a pan or bake in the oven without it cracking or wanting to fall apart....Has anyone found a good recipe? Thanks so much.

Vegan or ovo-lacto? This makes a difference as different binders can be used.

What I do is cheat: I pre-cook veggie burgers in a frying pan (much easier to keep everything under control in the frying pan), then wrap them up in foil. I'll place the foil wrapped veggie burger on the grill to 'warm up' prior to eating. This method works very well if you have to share a grill with meat eaters as it keeps your stuff away from the meat.

And, again, MrF, you have come up with a great idea!

They can be either vegan or lacto-ovo, and Mr. Falafel, great idea about pre-cooking them!
