I've been to Chinese Vegetarian Restaurants that serve vegetarian chicken so good that it tastes exactly like real chicken. And it makes you question your waiter to make sure it's vegetarian. Does anyone know how to make this from scratch?

They probably got it from here: http://www.vegieworld.com/index.asp

You could try this recipe for chicken style seitan that is supposed to be very good: http://www.yellowroserecipes.com/200...n-cutlets.html

Bryanna Clark Grogan also has a chicken style seitan recipe, though I can't find the original page for it (maybe she took it down?) -- this person has it in their blog though here: http://vegetationramblings.blogspot....ken-rolls.html

TnS told me to recommend the "Yellow Rose" recipe that R_C just posted. Supposed to be pretty good.

For those of you who made the yellowrose recipe... does it turn out chewy? Also what brand of gluten flour did you use? did you use garbanzo (chickpea) flour or wheat flour?

TIA,

Carla
