Just bought some for the first time, should i refrigerate after opening or not? it doesnt say on the container so i would assume no.

I take it as peanut butter. I like to keep mine in the fridge anyways, but I don't think it's necessary. I could be wrong though. (Another reason I like to keep it in the fridge - better safe than sorry.)

If it is raw, you definitely need to refrigerate it.



I do it anyway, unless it will be used up in a VERY short amount of time. Oils go rancid quickly.

Mine has been in my cupboard for some time now and is fine. I use it when I make hummus.

Buying and storing tips



Sesame butter and tahini and can be found in jars or cans. Once opened, they should be kept refrigerated to prevent rancidity. If kept in a tightly sealed jar in the refrigerator, sesame butter will keep for up to three months.

The best reason to keep it in the fridge is that it doesn't seperate as quick and is therefore easier to use.
